Volunteer
We’ll help you find a way to volunteer that is both suitable to your schedule and interesting for you to do. Volunteering does not have to be drudge work! Here are some examples of tasks that volunteers can do from home:
Clip articles: One of our volunteers picks up a box of magazines and newspapers from the mainstream media which have GLBT articles in them. He takes them home and works on them in his spare time, clipping out out the articles of interest. When he has finished with a box, he brings in the clipped articles and picks up another box of magazines and papers to work on.
Data entry: We are developing an online database of items in the collection. The system is being designed in such a way that entry of information into this database can be done from any computer (PC or Mac) using a web browser.
Video or audio recording: Record local and national news stories relating to our community.
